Food inflation is a problem for us. I see an increase in grocery prices. That should be no major surprise. Look at this years corn crop. It was affected by a drought max major. People have to import corn. Yeah, for the first time in many years. OK so that makes farmers have to charge more. Well, this will hurt our poor. Most of their pay check got to pay for things that are necessary.

Well, telework is increasing. Robots can allow employees to beam into work from over seas. This is great news. Yeah, for executives who want to scream OUT source. Firing american workers is how they save money. Sadly, there are no jobs now. I blame our execs.

Milgram’s Experiment is that people like to obey even when they know it is wrong. That is a chilling conclusion for us. Still, facts are what they are. People did obey authority and were able to rationalize giving shocks that were severe.

Laws are interesting

Laws are interesting to me. For example, a land lord cannot deny a one bed room apartment to a mother and her son. They do not say the reason. Perhaps we can understand why a land lord would say no. Also, some do not like dogs in houses with only one room. Hey, there is little or no space.

Most of our electricity is from fossil fuels. Coal is number one. It is over 50%, and second is gas. However, gas is more expensive. Look for less people working in the coal mine.

Internet addiction is a big problem for schools now. People do not know how to tackle this one. It is like being addicted to breathing air. How can we deal with this we gasp.

Thomas Edison's 140-year-old tech gives me some worries. Glowing filaments do not last very long any more. Yeah, it is approx 800 hours max. Incandescent light bulbs have a shine that is pretty nice. They bring a warm glow to many eyes. However, over 90% of the electricity is wasted energy. This is why people are switching to CFL, but those contain mercury. Folks, mercury is a nerve poison. Yeah, it is very dangerous to use. LED light bulbs are the best, but they are max expensive. $50 per bulb is common. People are trying to save money. Like we are now in a recession.

I believe that on other time lines people use air ships instead of cars. Like it is a much more wonderful world where people live in peace. Also, there are no wars. Yeah, and very little crime. Sadly, that is not the case with us.
