Sales Taxes will increase

States are in trouble because there is no recovery. Sadly, many are begging the federal gov for money. However, it too faces falling revenues. For example in Nevada, taxable sales dropped 8.1% in Jan compared with the same period a year ago, marking for us 15th straight month of decline. There is a loss in taxable income. OK so the state must raise taxes to generate more revenue. Expect things to get worse.

College is crap

OK in the 50's the idea was that you studied hard and went to work for a big company. The high tech push of the 80's was that you needed mad skills just to pay your bills, but college go real expensive. What is the situation right now? Well, in 2010, there are no jobs, and people can get talent from india and china for pennies. It reminds me of nuclear scientists starving in russia. They have great skills, but cannot pay the bills, because there is no money.

Unemployment insurance

OK sorry senators, but about the unemployed you do not care. Senator Coburn compares children and unemployed americans. He feels that they are not out there looking for jobs, but taking hand outs from the gov. I ask, what jobs, as if he ever looks at the paper. Trust me on this as the jobs section is the thinnest in the newspaper.

People, things are getting so scary. The great fire wall of china is spreading to the US. Folks, I am not making this up. People now cannot access face book, you tube, etc, and many other programs. OK so much for freedom of the press.

Change is coming

Losing a job is like stressful enough, but now things are worse. Unemployment extensions for jobless workers are gone. What we hear is that people need to get jobs and no more handouts from our gov. Well, it seems that big changes are coming.

There are those who say the Catholic Church will not recover from this one. It could be, but they seem to have a way to recovery. The Vatican is in crisis. There are many allegations of priests doing wrong. Hard to tell what will be the future of rome. All eyes are now on the pope. Did he know priest were abusing minors. It this a sin or a crime?

This is one great movie. OK you should make time to see. Hot Tub Time Machine is a story of four loser that go back in time to 1986 and relive their live a second wave. It is funny, and yet a bit sad, but you should enjoy.

mouse obsolete soon

They say the mouse will be obsolete soon. It will be replace by a new user interface that employ gestures on a screen. Similar to the iphone, but larger in size. This is better than using voice. Actually, voice input makes your office noisy.

Walmart Effect

If you visit your local WalMart then you can notice over 90% of their items say MADE IN CHINA. How much longer can this go on? What we are seeing, the Walmart Effect in the deindustrialization of america. All those high paying unions jobs are going away. Labor loses its power when factories are shutdown here and move overseas.

US and China in a trade war

China warns US that in a trade war they would suffer more. This is coming soon. It does not take a time machine for us to see. Trade deficit with china is growing. The only reason for the temporary dip is the economic recession. Please understand things will get hot in a trade war.

China drought has Bejing in a cloud of orange dust in this dry season. This is because of sand storm the in the desert rage. The cloud of chocking dust is a hazard one more. Hope that soon it will rain.
