illegal immigration

Undocumented workers are a major problem for us. There are now over 30 million "undocumented" workers in america. These people compete for jobs which are scarce. It adds to our stress on infrastructure and rare resources. They are not happy because they make less than americans. However, that is only the beginning of woe. Salaries go down as illegals move in. For example, common laborers at a meatpacking plant in Texas earn 35% less money than they did just thirty years ago. This is because illegal immigrants cause lower wages.
Also, costs go up. That is due to greater demand which will boost for example energy prices. Also, since many illegals are paid in cash that means our government gets less tax revenue. The difference is made up by legals being forced to pay more.
