Future that never was

I often talk about what could be instead of what is. Future that never was. OK case in point, often in the 50's people often spoke of the year 2000 with flying cars and men on mars. Where are those incredible amazing cars. In fact, we do not see any. Oh, how I wish there were some. Yeah, we did say flying cars.
